Clubhouse - with
Bradwell Quay Yacht Club is an RYA accredited yacht club formed in 1952. Our aim is to promote and advance the enjoyment of sailing.
The Clubhouse is located at the head of the slipway to Bradwell creek on the south side of the Blackwater Estuary at Waterside, Bradwell-on-sea in Essex. You can find us on Google Maps at CM0 7HY.
BQYC members are mainly boat owners who keep their craft in the adjacent Bradwell Marina; or on moorings in Bradwell Creek where members benefit from a discount on fees.
The club has been at its present location since 1964 with the club-house built in 1975 and steadily updated. There is carparking to the rear and a dedicated BBQ area and quarterdeck with picnic tables overlooking the creek to the north-west; from where magnificent sunsets can be enjoyed in the summer. The club has a licenced bar run by our club Steward, and toilets and showers for members use when stepping ashore from the creek. There is a storage shed for outboards and oars in the carpark.
Have a look at our program of events scheduled throughout the year. They include rally cruising, racing, talks, walks and suppers.
Communication with members is primarily via e-mail, this website and the in-house magazine, “Mainsheet”. Facebook is used within the club for informal chat.
We are pleased to welcome visiting yachtsmen and women and their crews. Please do not hesitate to call in to see us any Friday or Saturday evening during the summer, we would be pleased to welcome you.
